It's Thursday... It's okay

For some reason this is one of my favorite guided posts to write. There is something really fun and eyeopening about saying it's okay this is how it is and this is how I feel. So without further ado:
It's okay...
to take a break, step back and reexamine everything.
to maybe consider Alaska as a choice of places to live even if I've been against the very idea for years.
to be stressing about our next PCS which wont be till the summer.
to just want a break from it all.
to say you're sorry say your peace and let it go.
to be so super excited for a lunch date with a special little one this weekend.
to completely change your homes color scheme.
to be so excited about reading a book you find it hard to put down.

Its Ok Thursdays

  1. I'm not sure what leads you to Alaska but I just want to share something personal about it. My aunt, uncle and cousins moved there for my uncle's job and it was horrible for them. Especially on the kids. Depending on where you move it can be dark half the year and depression is one of the biggest tolls. Depression then leads to other issues alcoholism ... drugs and one of my cousins making horrible decisions that ruined his life. With that said, I am sure there could have been measures taken to help him but I don't think any of them understood what they were getting into when they moved there.

  2. I have a friend from High school, who's name is also Danielle, is an army wife, and lives in Alaska, Anchorage to be exact, so I had to do a double take of your blog. Making sure you were not the Danielle I know. I've never been to Alaska, but I would love to have that experience, maybe a cruise or something.

Personally I am not an army wife, but my husband is in the railroad industry, and I can understand the anxiousness of the next possible move. What ever assignment(PCS) your husband is given, I hope the transition to a new (home)location is a smooth for you and your children.
