Friday's letters

This was the 5 am face of my little one.

Dear Husband, I miss you! You have been working way too much lately. Dear Alabama weather, thank you for keeping it warm. I was promised upon our move here that this would be a warm winter. Dear bama friends, cant wait to see you all for our Friday social date. Dear Cooper, I need you for my sanity to learn to sleep past 5 am. Mama is tired and you are almost 2 your time is now. Dear gym buddy, I don’t know what I would do without you. Well, actually I do know what I would do without you and it would be go to the gym. You keep me motivated when I just don’t want to. Dear Gym, be gentle. Dear extra 20 pounds, I can no longer call you baby weight he’s almost 2 so please go. Happy Friday!

DIY elastic hair tie

DIY elastic hair tie

I have to admit I am a bit of a Pinterest addict. (heres the original post)I have done so many projects and recipes I’ve lost count.
The elastic hair tie project was so easy it’s seriously took only a few minutes to complete and made a great gift.
I got my elastic off of Etsy.com from Elastic by the yard. It was only $4.99 for 10 yards.

All you do is measure the length you want, cut and tie a knot. A good measurement is the size of your wrist. They make great bracelets…

The hardest part of this project is deciding what colors you wanna use. I couldn't decide so I got 20 colors.

I have to say I love to see Halloween come and go! I've never been super big into the holiday it's growing on me now that I'm a mom. Personally, I just love whats up next….

Our little surfer dude. He refused to leave the stroller all night.

It's OKAY….

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay-
To get three full buckets of candy last night and only let your kids have a piece.
To eat the remainder of the Halloween candy.
To hate the cold weather when its only 60 out.
To have a lazy day.
To be ready for the weekend.
To not make coffee because you didn’t clean the pot last night.
To be so so so ready for the weekend because daddy’s home and you’ll finally get a break.
To blow off a play date because you just don’t wanna.

What’s your greatest fear?
I remember before I was a mom I had fears about who I was going to be or what I was doing with my life. Looking back I had no idea, A fear is so much more when its fear for someone else.
As a mom my greatest fear whole-heartedly surrounds my children. I worry so much about the life I am giving them, am I doing enough, are they happy enough, and what is enough.
My oldest was born smart. She has always learned and thrived. So we push her, I worry sometime we push too much. I worry we focus on things that don’t really matter and she’ll grow up sad and missing something.
My middle child is hardheaded and stubborn. We do a lot of things his way.
I hate to say it but the youngest or as I so lovingly refer to him, as “the baby” is just that my baby. I know children are supposed to be different so we treat them as such but are we doing enough.
Being a parent is hard. I don’t think it’s the act of being a parent that makes it hard it’s the not knowing how you are doing. The hardest part about being a parent is you don’t know if you’ve done a good job until its too late until they are grown and on their own to make decisions.
